We took part of a design workshop, as tutors, at the Technische Universiteit of Eindhoven : Genius, one day invention. Students were supposed to create their own costume to make a lot of people coming to the party which was organised on the day. The aim was to teach them how to express and show their personnality through their creations, with the hope they will be able to continue that in their design projects.

We experimented new materials by mixing concrete with stone powder, paper mash, and others natural materials.

We started to create brothers and sisters for the Natural Speakers. This work is in progress. Stay tuned, you will get more information about that really soon !

And, last but not least, we are also preparing an exhibition at the Temporary Art Center of Eindhoven, which will open next week.

Thank you for the good documentary to the Director Maarten & Alexis. However, I’ve been nervous with interview, please understand. I’ve been think the designer should think interaction between people and object when I show some project. It was good conversation.

We’ve been busy with the new projects. Kinetic has been one of our most concern these days. There is one master artist who’s name is Theo Jansen. We’ve been research about Kinetic and him, and we realized that Kinetic in calculated design is pretty difficult. Theo Jansen was a Physicist, and we believe that the background must be helped his project. Somehow, we change the direction of study as “First Copy the element of the masterpiece and try out to make new kinetic ourselves”. The study was really helpful, and now we are working on a new project that you could check in March or April on our website.

We’ve got new intern who has a great personality and design technical. He had an experience at professional boat making company ‘Hyundai Yacht” at South Korea with many great boat designers. We appreciate a lot to him, and hope we could make a great memory.

We were invited for the Design September Brussels 2010.

Last week, we were at Brussels preparing for shows at Isabelle Azais Gallery and Jonas Gallery. During our staying in there we met amazing people, inspired, learned and explore the city. Every time, when we are preparing for new show it brings the contrast of nervousness and exciting moment. In the end there is always good people and learning parts. We know form this experience that we are growing a bit and a bit.

After coming back form Korea we were super tight with developing new Hands-on Chair and new I’m too sad to separate cup series.  These would be more experimental but we feel that both project have lots of potential. And the result would be great.

Prof. Lee’s recommendation, we visited Museum Insel Hombroich. No pin card available. Good thing, we had just enough money to enter the Museum. Otherwise we had to go back to Eindhoven right away. It was so beautiful day to walk around the garden and finding buildings. It was little bit like a maze but so beautiful to get lost.

Morning wonders at Prof. Lee’s Germany residence in Dusseldorf. Prof. Lee is one of Joons’s best teachers from Korea. He was so nice to let us stay over. Even though we visited too late in the evening on the way from Berlin. He told us great stories including design matters :) Joons had lots to catch up with him that they ended up went to bed around 5 o’clock in the morning. I was already in the dream.

While we were waiting for him to wake up in the next morning…
