Since warmest invitation from Coco van Wijk and her family, we could have exhibition and small presentation about our new product ‘the natural speaker’. The feedback was really nice, and the gallery was also nice. The place is center in Roermond, it is young art and design showroom from the main gallery in Maastricht, High|Culture.

CBK’s-Hetrogenbosch, Vice Versa, 2010-2011

Vice Versa is an exchange project between artists Hertogenbosch and Eindhoven. Eindhoven and Den Bosch crow flies but 35 km apart. Both cities have their own inspiring artistic climate. Yet many distinguished artists in their neighboring city.

Vice Versa is an exciting interaction between these two cities and provides an opportunity for the work of talented artists from the other city to present. A group with a wide variety of disciplines, including design, photography, paintings and video art.

“At the Jonas Gallery they’ll introduce a metaphoric project based on human relationships. What humanism could be when applied to objects? Starting from that question Joon&Jung developed their project‘Humanism and Form’. Their approach could be considered as a translation of a transposition of relationships between men to objects.

As urban populations multiply and become more complex, feelings of isolation and seperation as group can increase. As designers Joon&Jung had plan for open this more and more with objects. The concept of ‘relationship’ developed by Joon&Jung is based on the will to connect people and space. Actually, they started their workprocess from the remarkable finding that dancing in a circle is universal: it is found in every culture anywhere in the world. The metaphor of ‘dance in a circle’ and applying it to design gives a whole new life to objects and allows a multi-functional use of these objects. Joon&Jung: “with their specific form, those chairs also reflect a feeling of solidarity”. ”

The new I’m too sad to separate cup series is presenting In Design September Brussels 2010.

“What could be humanism from object? Restaring the project from this theme, and recognize this abstract concept in our daily life. The translation of it is a relationship between object and object, and develops this to our life function that is reflected humanism. ‘I’m too sad to separate series’ is one of our reinterprets. It starts from tribute of one of the famous experimental artist, Bas jan Ader(1942-1975). We believe he was working for new challenge in human society even about philosophical humanism. They found specifically ‘a tension’ between relationships from his work and life. How we interpret shows the shape looks like something falls down, and it specially provides us Fear, Surprise and Interesting feeling from one small object.”

The Extended Exhibition is opening in de Krabbedans at Witte Dame, Eindhoven, NL. The whole series from 5 artists’ works gathered from each different library location, and it gives a diverse in total. These are bringing you a new sight from each artists and areas. As a designer, we designed special installation for interior at Meerhoven Library, Eindhoven. It has 3 different stories with different interaction with special structures. Many people get curious and wondering to experience.

Peter Harvey is pleased to present Sirens, a group exhibition presenting poetic and conceptual works by emerging and established international designers. Majestic, thrown like contraptions Rocking on the Beach chairs by Joon&Jung, playfully simulate enchanting sounds of the seashore. Inspired by nature, Ronél Jordaan’s beautiful sculptural rocks nestle together, whilst Tom Price’s magnificent Meltdown chair, a sea urchin like creature, washed up in the flotsam, tantalizes the imagination. _www.peter-harvey.com

We participated DMY Youngsters with ‘Cloud Stool, Form from Everyday’ in Central exhibition. The festival was great with lively and young atmosphere and we met so many nice people. It also gave us opportunity to think about our present and future.
